Yes there was some gangsta rap, but there was also positive, and thought provoking stuff too. Read all the artists I listed, along with KRS-1, Raekwon and Gang Starr, cats like that, and find me more than a handful of people nowadays who could match their wit and/or rhyming styles. Without talking about just "supermanning hoes" or "my booty got swag"

This is great stuff! But Chris has is a bit wrong. The government LOVES rap. The stuff that dumbs down the people and makes them into good little consumers who are slaves to their creditors trying to live the lifestyle they portray in the music. They HATE rappers like 2 Pac who preach the truth! A great video to watch is the Jay Z Deception. And while you're at it, search for The Obama Deception.
