i pretty much have the same setup as you, but i cant get to phpmyadmin. it says "phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server."
any idea?

I have used xampp numerous times- but after switching to Vista, which crashes all by itself, I have hesitated. I appreciate the posts regarding Xampp.
