The problem with creating satire of Republicans is that the shit they spew out to defend their backwards ideals is SO extreme in itself. Watching Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter, one might think they're satirists... but the scary thing is, they're not. To create effective satire of the right, you have to go above and beyond the Ann Coulters o the world. Also, watch a lot of Colbert for inspiration ;)

You have an excellent point. His 'satire' was indistinguishable from the real thing. Scary as it is, he should have realized that this is how a lot of people are! And they are so common that this was not seen as satire. Rightly so.

Your whole "satire idea" was stupid...Its has nothing to do with people being able to recognize it as a satire or not because there are TONS of people that actually think this...So basically what you did was pretend you are one of these stupid people. No one is going to know if you're pretending to be that stupid person or you really are...Like david chapelle says, "Dont dress like a whore if you're not a whore"
